For the first time in 6 years, the Manteo Redskins finally take back the Marlin from the First Flight Nighthawks. In our story, we talk to Coach Sawyer, Bryson Saywer, as well as Wolfie Schultz to see what they have to say about our win. We asked them multiple questions ranging from how they thought First Flight did to what they would change in next year’s game.

Outer Banks local Tyler Nilson and California Native Michael Schwarz visited Manteo High School earlier in the year. Kiersten Frazee and Nate Smith asked them multiple questions regarding their movie, The Peanut Butter Falcon, the actors and actresses in the film, Nilson’s time at MHS, and many others. Not only have we learned more about the film, but we also gathered more information on the writers and directors, as well as the actors. 

Mr. Nichols’s Intro to Publications class had the opportunity to talk to the Chinese teachers Ms. Zoe and Mr. Hufrom Meicun High School who had visited MHS. We were able to understand and learn about the difference between Manto High School and Meicun High School. We also learned a lot about their holidays, school hours, the way they switch classes, and more.
